Kingsbridge Age Concern

Kingsbridge Age Concern are a charitable organisation. We promote the welfare of the elderly community within the parish of Kingsbridge and its neighbouring parishes. We provide an active social and wellbeing service for anyone over the age of 55.

St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth

St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is an independent charity providing specialist advice and support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses in Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. We believe that everyone deserves quality end of life care, no matter where. We work with our community, in partnership with others, to achieve dignity, comfort and choice for people affected by life-limiting illnesses through delivering and influencing exceptional care.

Living Well Dying Well

We encourage reflection on how to live life fully, while planning and preparing for the end of life. Our courses, training, conversations and services help people think about it, talk about it and plan for it, in a safe and supportive way.

South Hams Area Wellbeing

South Hams Area Wellbeing or SHAW is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to help enable and educate local individuals to be resilient in their own wellbeing.

Kingsbridge Dementia Friendly Community

We are a group of volunteers who live and work in Kingsbridge and the surrounding areas and we are focused on raising awareness of dementia so that we can support people in our community who are living with dementia.

South Hams Hospital

South Hams Hospital is situated in Kingsbridge. The Hospital has 12 inpatient beds, an MIU (which is open 9.00am – 17.00pm, 7 days a week), a busy Outpatient Department, a Physiotherapy Outpatient Department.

Citizens Advice

We give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. Our network of charities offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free.

Independent Age

A charity founded over 150 years ago, we’re independent so you can be. We offer regular friendly contact and a strong campaigning voice, Independent Age can provide you and your family with clear, free and impartial advice on the issues that matter: care and support, money and benefits, health and mobility.

Devon Libraries

Kingsbridge Library serves the market town of Kingsbridge and the many surrounding villages, and has between 250 and 450 visitors a day. It is located near the main car park and bus station, with easy level access.
