to Cure Paralysis!" Fundraising and Motivational Programs
The Mission of the NextSteps
Foundation
The NextSteps Foundation,
a philanthropic organization, was established in 1996 as a non-profit,
501-C3 foundation, in hopes of raising the badly needed funds for
paralysis research and to improve the quality of life for those with
daily challenge.
"Our aim is to help in the fight for the prevention,
treatment and cure of paralysis through dedicated research" says
NextSteps director, Patrick Rummerfield.
Fundraising Programs Offered
If your corporation or business is looking to
inspire your employees, to establish new attitude directions, launch
a new campaign or introduce new products, then the inspiration story
of Patrick Rummerfield should be an essential part of your campaign.
Why? Because Mr. Rummerfield is
the
world's first fully-recovered quadriplegic!
Injured in a alcohol-related car crash in 1974, Patrick
Rummerfield's spine suffered four crushed cervical vertebras. Doctors
saw little chance for survival, predicting death within 72 hours.
With his extraordinary self will, positive attitude
and spiritual guidance, he beat Death's hand-and even more. Enduring
seventeen years of intense physical therapy, he was functioning with almost
complete normalcy, earning the distinction as
the world's only fully-recovered spinal cord injury quadriplegic.
This determination to "never give up" became the
cornerstone of his new life. When challenged to learn to run again,
he began an incredible 17 year struggle to re-learn to run! He fulfilled
that goal in an extraordinary way-by participating in one of the most
grueling physical events held worldwide - The
IronMan Triathlon of Hawaii.
Rummerfield provides a very unique view of life-from
complete despair to his 17-year struggle to run again. His life-story
is incredible, inspiring your employees to adopt his attitude of "never
give up".
